This one is for my millennials lol!! I was reminded by a friend of mine the other week of our LOVE for Britney Spears when we were growing up (if you know me you know I still love me some Britney) and I thought oh my god how have I never gone and looked at her chart? I didn’t even know what her Sun sign was!! - honey is a Sagittarius (of course she is!)
So thank you google and American public records for her birth time and place is all there! And her chart is just as fascinating as I’d hoped

Whereeeee to start!? OK!..SO! The first thing I was drawn to was her Saturn and Pluto in her first house. Planets in the 1st house always stand out to me. These are planets, where I imagine the person to be wearing them like a cloak, does that make sense? It’s like they are cloaked in this planets energy. Those planets are etched into that persons identity. That person is those planets without trying.
For Britney, this meaning there is a very saturnian and plutonic edge to Britneys personality but also her appearance! Plus, did I mention? .. These are arguably two of the most intense planets.
Let’s unpack this. Saturn, the planet of discipline, responsibility, and linear timelines, is placed in Libra in her 1st house. This tells us Britney embodies these qualities. When Saturn is in the 1st house, it usually tells a story of someone who may have felt great responsibility from a young age and had a determination to succeed and make something of themselves. As they get older, these individuals can feel like, on reflection, that they missed out on certain aspects of childhood because they felt they bore the weight of an adult throughout childhood. So as they get older, they try to reignite that childlike essence of creativity and spontaneity.

Whats interesting about Saturn in her 1st house as well is, Saturn in astrology is the Father. He is the father figure, and we can relate him to just that - our father. We have seen the intrinsically complicated dynamic of Britney and her father, and him assuming responsibilities and control over her life and autonomy with the conservatorship she was placed in. So, we have seen the father figure actually engulf her whole identity. (i.e- we have seen Saturns paternal aspect take ownership over her 1st house) - mind blowing.
And being in the sign of Libra, the sign consumed with relationships with the other, that can have a tendency to lose themselves to the other at times and roll over as the people pleaser, we see this, right? And Libra is also the judge, the peacekeeper, the one that weighs up the feather to see where fairness lies. So for her, feeling her father take control of her life, I’m sure this would feel incredibly unfair within her psyche!

Next up, my eye was drawn to the stellium of planets in her 3rd house. This house is ruled by Gemini and, in Britney’s chart, governed by Sagittarius. This is the house of communication, storytelling, and even siblings but ultimately- the house of voice (fitting right?) . Britney sung, performed but also co-wrote a lot of her songs, and this is a house we often see in actors, musicians, or people in the arts. This house has a need to share, to tell their story or just a story, to be a vehicle for storytelling, whether that’s through writing, singing, public speaking, acting, or poetry, it wants to get out what resides in its mind.
We see her Uranus here at 0 degrees. Here, lays Britney’s genius – a unique gift that is new for her, that is for her to discover in this lifetime, how to tell that story, how to sing it, how to share, how to bring us along for the ride. Her Mercury resides almost conjunct this Uranus, telling us it comes naturally to her she has a natural gift within her voice and it’s a unique one.
