You just may find a new beginning disguised as an old ending. Welcome to a new moon in Scorpio…
The shedding of Scorpio season is reaching a point of unveiling and clarity with its very own, Scorpio new moon.
We currently have six (yes- you read that correctly s-i-x) planets in retrograde (feeling unsure of how you feel – welllll this is your arrow pointing to why haha). All but one of these retrograde planets are in water signs. We also have the Sun, Moon and Mercury all conjunct in Scorpio this new moon oh.. and Venus is in Scorpio as well.
This is a helllll of a lot of water. It’s creating a “water grand trine” actually. Together with so many planets retrograding, we are in the most intensive review energies of the year. We are all moving through phases of emotional review and evaluation. If you’ve felt deep in your feelings, moodiness, nostalgia, old memories, vivid dreams, replaying experiences in your head, powerful intuitive moments, this is all water energy. Keep in mind – water is incredibly cleansing but it can also be incredibly absorbent – meaning in a time with a lot of water energy present we can feel like sensitive energetic sponges for everything we come into contact with – people, environments, information – and if we are not releasing that it can be heavy, that water can bog us down.
Each water sign has its own consistency and movement. Scorpio’s water is piercing, direct and penetrative. It doesn’t concern itself with the surface. It delves directly to the deepest layers, so there is a lot happening beneath the surface of your being right now… in the waters of your deep internal world… more than you may even be aware of. Maybe you’ve seen or felt the glimpses every now and then, a feeling that something is shifting and reworking within you and this may have been in motion for a few weeks now.
As this new moon arrives, combining with Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, you may begin to see glimmers at the end of the tunnel you have been traveling through.
Do not be surprised if this appears in unexpected ways. You may circle back to something you overlooked, revisit a conversation that once seemed unremarkable, or notice insight into something you’ve glossed over many times but now see it through new eyes. Nothing may have changed, but you have changed, and that alone changes everything. Take a second look this week. A new beginning may be hiding disguised in an old ending.
This is what this new moon brings… a new beginning that can be found within a sometimes-painful ending. You have done the shedding. You have been in the chrysalis. As we approach Sagittarius season, you begin to feel the fire ignite. The walls of your chrysalis open and the butterfly emerges.
That is the thing about inner work. It always comes back around. The biggest battle and burst of energy a giant tree takes to grow, in its century-long lifespan, isn’t in its reach for the sky, it is in its breaking through the soil. The same can be said for our own growth. The work we do alone, the battles and challenges we face within the depth of ourselves, the work we do behind the scenes and within the shadows, can be the most unglamorous and unappreciated yet have the greatest return. If we sift through the layers of ourselves and endure the challenge of being the seedling bursting through the earth, we go on to reach toward the sky.
What we do in the dark always comes to light.
Who we are and how we show up even when no one is around to witness it, shapes the trajectory of our story, the trajectory of our entire being.
There is forever the all-seeing eye watching over us.
Everything always gets pushed towards the light, it’s nature’s way.
What you do now will always come back around.
As Scorpio season reaches its close, ask yourself… Did I shed? Did I delve deeper below the surface with myself, with my relationships? Did I ask the questions? Did I do the research? Did I face things directly? Did I pierce through the shadows? Did I dig deeper into the un-comfortability? Did I review and reassess before I made plans to move forward?
Because the depths we explore within always surface in the light.
