This Virgo season is the gateway to eclipse season..
August 22nd 2025, we enter Virgo season, with a New Moon in Virgo happening on the 23rd of August at 0°. This marks the gateway opening to eclipse season. This is going to be a big Virgo season because the eclipse energies really start rolling in here.
So, we have a New Moon in Virgo on the 23rd, immediately after, on August 24, the Sun in Virgo squares Uranus in Gemini, heightening the energy with sudden shifts or surprises. Then, a Lunar Eclipse on September 7th, and then another (yes, another) Virgo New Moon on September 21st .. this one at the anaretic degree of 29° (the very last degree before this sign changes. It’s a point of culmination, urgency, or completion, as if the planet or point at 29° is trying to finish its work in that sign before moving on) This will be a solar eclipse.
See what I mean? this is a huge Virgo season and its being made very clear that changes are essential for you to make in your daily life in order to move forward and level up in your life (Virgo rules daily routines of course!). Be clear with yourself: what in your day-to-day life isn’t working? Where are you giving too much energy or not enough? What is draining you? What is supporting you?

We hear all the buzz around life changing eclipses, but the truth is we need to understand what the planets are working with! What is the theme, what is the foundation of the astrological energy? We can say “oh its Virgo season” but do you know what that translates too? What is the essence of the planet, of the placement so you can see its fruition and its calling card in your life.
Virgo, like Gemini, is ruled by Mercury. Where Gemini - an air sign intertwines itself with Mercury in the sense of storytelling, curiosity, and wit. Virgo - an earth sign meets Mercury in depth, precision, and application. Let’s say Gemini does it for the plot, whereas Virgo does it for analysis. Gemini moves the story along, it’s the twist, the side quest, the witty banter that keeps things alive. Virgo gets you to the ending that makes sense. It’s the proofreading, the repair work, the final polish that ensures things actually work.
Virgo is the archetype of the healer, the analyst, the librarian, the perfectionist, the martyr. Virgo fine-tunes and fixes, scanning for risks and refinements, rethreading any snags or loose ends its hawk like eye picks up on. Virgo speaks and deals in facts, statistics, and always conjures up evidence. Virgo is meticulously organized (to the point of OCD sometimes) and seeks perfection. There is also this endearing sense of an old soul about a Virgo. The truth is in the detail with Virgo, and if you’re going to argue with a Virgo … well, you’d better believe you must come with receipts. Its organisation and knowledge are in service to others, always willing to use what it knows to lend a hand. We may even find a Virgo deeply connected to the healing of the earth, through herbalism or natural remedies.
In their shadow a Virgo can polish and polish and never be satisfied, unable to see the perfection within imperfection. (The person who changes their outfit again and again when they had it perfect the first time) Casting the same level of perfectionism, they cast on their selves onto others as well. They can tend to over control situations and can end up indecisive because they need the perfect outcome and find risks, flaws in each route to get there.
As we move through this Virgo season, polish your daily routines, be clear with yourself – is my morning scrolling disrupting my peace? Is my work life balance starting to affect my family life? could I refine this? Could my time be used differently? Is what I’m doing of service to the people I claim it is?
Service is a key point here because Virgo rules over the service industry- nurses, doctors, hospitality etc. If Leo wants to shine on stage, Virgo is running the lights, tuning the instruments, and making sure the show starts on time. That’s what I mean by service. I mention this because I was talking about Uranus above and the combination of Uranus in Gemini squaring and this strong Virgo / eclipse season we are likely to see a change in the workforce. Perhaps the ramp up of AI occupying more current roles, leaving certain roles no longer being necessary.
This energy brings awareness into our careers, our jobs and how they feel day in our day-to-day life and with this eclipse taking place in this time, it means things may shift for you too!!
