I’M lovinggg in this SEASON...

Too many supplements stress me.

Too many restrictions stress me.

Over complication stresses me.

Following too many wellness/biohacking/diet trending account stresses me.

And look,, this could be due to me having so many undefined centers in Human Design which means I constantly have to be discerning between my actual thoughts/feelings and those of outside influence but I’m sure so many of us feel the same.

There is such beauty in simplicity. Different times in our lives/ in our health require different levels of application and dedication from us but if your wellness routine leaves you exhausted - its not wellness … its performative!!! read that againnnnnn!! I have found a freedom that comes from establish a lifestyle that I truly enjoy to live. Not one where Im over analysing everything. One that even on vacation most things look relatively the same… because thats the way I like to live, thats how I feel best. it’s a choice not a punishment or a performance.

ok, ok, back on track - things I’m lovinggg. I’m going to keep this short!!

  1. Glutathione

  2. Castor Oil Packs

  3. Sunlight - (this one might make you laugh)

Glutathione + NAC

GLUTATHIONE

This is one supplement I enjoy!! I originally bought it because, in the past 2 years, I've slowly developed some melasma on my face, and it was a little nod that I wanted to give my liver some love, as that's where estrogen is metabolized. I've noticed some change in my melasma so far, but I've definitely noticed its detoxing effects and how much clearer I feel when I take it, which is surprising for me.

If you drink alcohol, I would definitely recommend taking a dose of this the next day - even the following 2 days! (Which reminds me... in probably my next edition of this newsletter, I want to get into our relationship with alcohol!)

Glutathione functions:

  • Antioxidant Defense – Neutralizes free radicals, reducing oxidative stress and cell damage.

  • Detoxification – Binds to toxins, heavy metals, and harmful substances in the liver to facilitate elimination.

  • Immune Support – Helps regulate and boost immune system function.

  • Cellular Repair – Involved in DNA synthesis and repair, protein synthesis, and enzyme activation.

  • Anti-aging Effects – Helps slow cellular aging by reducing oxidative damage.

Along with the Glutathione, I've also been taking NAC – NAC (N-acetylcysteine) is derived from the amino acid L-cysteine. It is a precursor to glutathione, so it helps with absorption.

You might prefer glutathione in a liposomal version; I've done both. If you are interested, I like this brand!

CASTOR OIL PACKS

These existed longggg before you saw them on TikTok and your favourite influencers doing them.

Castor oil was in use in Ancient Egyptian times, and the oil itself has many healing abilities and can be used in so many ways. But the actual “Castor Oil Pack” became popular around the start of the 20th century. It’s grown in popularity in Ayurvedic Medicine, with Holistic Health Practitioners and Naturopaths.

Castor oil, when applied to the skin, wrapped, and sometimes heated, has the ability to break up masses as well as provide liver support, hormonal balance, help digestion, and reduce pain and inflammation.

When I had Covid a few years back, I really leaned in to Castor Oil Packs to help support my liver during that time, and since it's gained popularity, it’s encouraged me to be more consistent with it. I try to apply it a few times a week before bed and sleep with it on to help with my hormones.

As Castor Oil Packs (when applied regularly) can help break down a variety of masses including fibroids, cysts, tumors, and scar tissue. I actually was wrapping my husband's foot while he had a rugby injury earlier this year, and it definitely helped with inflammation, and I believe it played a role in breaking apart the scar tissue.

Obviously, do your own research, but since using it a few times a week, I've noticed the role it’s been playing in hormone regulation and bloating.

You can purchase a wrap off Amazon—I can link one below. And also, make sure your Castor Oil you're using is organic and cold-pressed.

SUNLIGHT

“SUNNING”

I don’t know if this feels so important to me because, since living in Christchurch, New Zealand these past 6 months, I treasure the sun more. But around Autumn heading into Winter, I find the sun's role integral in our wellbeing. In Ayurvedic Medicine, they say your body needs the most support during the in-between seasons (spring and autumn).

We have had years of influence that the sun is “bad”—skin cancer, aging, etc.—and I get it..like with anything in this world - too much of anything beyond what you need is poison! Think about it: tobacco was once medicinal, the coca leaves as well before they were derived into Cocaine, wine has deep religious beliefs. The sun can be so healing, but once abused—like with anythinggggg—it becomes poisonous.

I also think a lot of the skin damage we see from the sun is also dependent on our personal toxin levels within our blood, within our body.

If you are in Autumn/Winter like me—20 minutes in the sunshine each day (whenever I have a sunny day) is life force energy.

I like my skin to be free of any creams to take in the pure sunlight—pre-moisturiser, serums. If you are worrying about UVs, do this in the morning or afternoon outside of peak hours. If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, those UVs shouldn’t be strong right now anyway. (But also, in the lead-up to summer, actually prepping your skin like this is a game changer—goodbye sunburn.)

There is no rhyme or reason to this—have your morning coffee outside, your breakfast, take a walk. It’s really basic.

If you do want details though… this is what I like to do: either sit in the sun and do a 10-minute meditation imagining the sun’s rays repairing all my cells, and ok… this is rogue, but I like to sun my “hoo-ha” tooyes ladies, you heard that right (and sorry if there are any men reading this). (And if you are a male—swap this for your balls lol. I’m serious though.) But especially in the Autumn/Winter months, I sun my hoo-hay. If you’re confused—vagina, guys, I sun my vagina.

How? I’ve been asked this many times. Well... I just do it. Lay down outside (obviously in private) and let that sunshine hit it honeyyy.

If you’ve ever heard of—what’s it called—like Anal gazing or whatever it is (lol)... mine’s like that, but your hoo-ha. I feel like it just helps my body get vitamin D, energizes me, and connects me to the earth and my feminine energy.

In Australia, I swear I went 6 straight weeks of every day hopping into our cold pool in winter, then meditating while… well let’s call it “sunning.”

Don’t knock it till you try it. Maybe it sounds like no big deal (it really isn’t), or maybe it sounds totally out there to you. Go and try it, get that sunshine, and then notice the difference—and you know what? It is totally free. Honestly, true wellness tools don’t cost a thing—they come from the earth.

P.S. Let me know if you try this- I encourageeee you to try this!
